Are your items Royalty Free?

Yes. All of ambientLights products are royalty free and covered by our 'Royalty Free License'.


Do I have to Register to the Site?

Unless you have previously purchased from us you will need to choose a username and password when you make a purchase. This will enable you to login and access your downloads in the download area. You will also be able to view your account information and all orders you have made with us by going to the 'Account' area accessed from the main menu when you are logged in.


What Payment Methods can I use?

We use two of the worlds largest Card Processors in our secure ordering system.  'WorldPay' and 'PayPal'. They are the worlds leading online Card Processors, and have over 100 Million users worldwide. You can choose either to make your final payment, and will recieve an additional reciept from them confirming your payment as well as ambientLights Order confirmation.

You can pay using a variety of Credit / Debit Card companys, or if you are already a member of paypal you can use an existing paypal account.

Are payments at ambientLight secure?

The pages where you enter your card details are on the repective sites of the payment method you choose. If you chose PayPal, you will make your final payment at Paypals website, if you chose Credit or Debit card, you will make final payment at Worldpays website.

Both these websites offer secure 128bit encrypted pages for you to enter your details. You will see both a https:// address in the browsers address bar, and a locked padlock icon in your browsers noticfication bar to confirm the page is secure.

You can also right click a blank area of the page, choose properties, and view information regarding the security properties of the page as well as the security certificate for the site.


Does ambientLight keep records of my card number?

Because we use WorldPay and PayPal to process transactions, ambientLight will at no time recieve any of your card details. We only recieve a straight confirmed or denied authorisation from the processors on your behalf to say whether or not you have a made a successful payment.


How will I recieve my goods?

All of our items are instant downloads. This means that when your payment is confirmed you will be sent an additional email with a unique code that you enter in our download area. You will need to be logged into our site to access the download area. This will then begin the download of the product that you have purchased. If you have purchased more than one item you will recieve multiple codes to use.

If you have purchased our Textures Multibuy, using the code in our downloads area will give you a computer generated text file that contains a unique username and password that will enable you access all your products from one location, as the file size is too large for a single download.

You can additionally purchase a copy of your order burnt to a DVD-R Disc, to be shipped to you. If ordering an DVD-R copy you will still recieve download details after your payment is confirmed and can begin downloading the packs you most want while waiting for the DVD-R to arrive. Simply browse the DVD-R to access the textures.

Please ensure that the system that you intend to use the Texture DVD-R on is fully compatible with recorded DVD-R media

Delivery guidance for ambientLight products, UK up to 3 Business Days, Europe up to 5 Business Days, Worldwide up to 7 Business Days. All deliveries are insured and will need to be signed for at destination.

Delivery Guidance for 3rd Party non ambientLight Products - Worldwide up to 7 business days.

Deliveries will be made only to the Card Holders address entered when placing your order, or to your verified PayPal address.


I haven't recieved a download code or order confirmation

Some users with MSN, Hotmail or Yahoo accounts have reported not recieving their confirmation and download emails. This is due to some systems incorrectly reporting these message as spam and putting them in your spam folder. Please check your spam folders for the confirmation messgaes and download details.

If you still do not have your messages after checking these, please use the contact form to get in touch with us, quoting your name and order number, and we will send out your messages via an alternative email route, as soon as possible.



I have my Download code but it isn't working?

The download codes will work for 3 days or will let you download the file a maximum of 3 times from your first download.

If it is the first time you are trying to use your download code and you get an error, it is likely that your login session has expired and caused the error. 

To resolve this, please clear your web browsers cache files and cookies. Completely close the browser and then open it again. You can then click on the link in your download email. Login on that page with your registered username and password, and your download should begin automatically. If it does not begin, cut & paste the code from your email into the provided box, hit the button and your download will begin.

If this does not solve the problem or you are still unable to access your product please contact us immediately and quote your name and order number. Use our "contact page" to get in touch or reply to either your download details email or your order confirmation email. We will sort out any issues as fast as we can.


I can't access my Multibuy Textures Download

The download process for the multibuy texture pack is different to that of single products due to the amount and size of the product files.  When you type in your download code, you will recieve a computer generated text file containing instructions on downloading the multipack. The multipack has it's own download area, allowing you to download individual packs fast, insteading of waiting for a hundreds of megabytes to download. Your text file will have details of your unique username and password to access this area, which does not use the same login details as you registered to the ambientlight site with.


Will I recieve a newsletter?

All members have the option of recieving the ambientLight newsletter. You will recieve the first by default after you have signed up with us. The newsletter will inform you of new updates to any of our prodcucts, as well as news on new releases and offers. All members will have the option to buy new products at a discount when they are released. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at anytime by following the link at the end of the newsletter, or by visiting the newsletter section from the main menu. You can also opt to sign up for the newsletter without registering to site by using the newsletter link on the main menu and still be able to take advantage of our offers.

Refund Policy

Refunds are given at the discression of ambientLight. As electronic goods are non-tangible and irrevocable refunds are not normally issued, although we will deal them on a case by case basis. All refund requests must be made no later than 5 days after purchase, and will be dealt with on a case by case basis.
