Google Streetview hits the Venetian Canals

Have you ever wanted to visit Venice but not had the chance as yet? Luckily Google Streetview has mapped the canals using a Streetview boat! You can explore the Venetian waterways from the comfort of your sofa and take in the sights to help you plan that trip.

We drop you in front of the famous Rialto Bridge below so you can start exploring from one of Venices most iconic landmarks. Head straight under the bridge and into the small canal on the right and you’ll soon find that the Google team soon has to drop the camera down into the base of the boat to get under one of the lower bridges. Luckily, no cameras were harmed during the capture.
